Here are a few of the projects I've built over the past several months for my hobby of keeping freshwater tropical fish and plants.

Some of these pages are lacking detailed assembly instructions and/or critical information may have been left out.   My goal is not to provide a step-by-step instruction source for building, but to share my ideas with others.

I will update these pages as new projects come along, and pictures return from the developers.  I hope to eventually get a decent digital camera and stop making the developer wealthy!

Also I'll be putting together another set of pages detailing the fish and plants I keep.

 

Lightbox 1.0 First attempt at building a 192 watt Power Compact light fixture for a planted tank.
Metal Halide 1.0 First attempt at building a 250 watt Metal Halide light fixture for a planted tank.
Stand 2.0 Second attempt at building a wood stand for holding an aquarium.
Trickle Filter 1.0 First attempt at sumps, overflows and wet/dry filtration.
Overflow 2.0 Second attempt at building a much higher capacity overflow for a much larger tank!
Reactor 1.0 First attempt at a high-efficiency external CO2 reactor.

 

 

Safety Note: A few of these projects deal with HIGH VOLTAGE electricity and could seriously injure you or your fish.  Please don't attempt a project working with electricity unless you are comfortable with your knowledge of how to handle it.
